P. D. Pius Calls for Transparency and Accountability in Taraba State LGAs

Barrister P.D. Pius, Principal Partner at P.D. During a recent appearance on the SUM TV Morning Show, Pius commended several LG Areas, including Ardo-Kola, Bali, Gashaka, Gassol, Ibi, Jalingo, Karim Lamido, Lau, Sardauna, Ussa, and Yorro, for their commitment to sharing their budget presentations with the public.

He highlighted a recent Supreme Court interpretation that mandates LG Councils without elected officials should not receive FAAC allocations from the federal government, as it would be deemed illegal. This interpretation grants LG Councils a level of autonomy, protecting them from potential interference by state governors.
