The Galadima of Muri Emirate Council and District Head of Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, Alh. Tukur Abba Tukur has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to fostering peace and harmony among the people within his domain.
Tukur gave this assurance while fielding questions from our correspondent at his residence in Jalingo.
He also appealed for continued religious, ethnic, and political tolerance and embraced each other for the development of the state, as well as warned against drug abuse and other social vices, especially among the youth.
According to the Royal Father, youth inclusiveness in decision-making both in the government and the traditional institutions would go a long way toward eliminating youth restiveness in society, noting that the Jalingo District has recorded a lot of achievements in that regard.
Alhaji Tukur Abba Tukur attributed the successes recorded in maintaining peace, not only in the state capital but the entire state to the commitment and resilience of Governor Agbu Kefa’s administration and urged the people of the state to continue supporting developmental government policies and programs.
The Galadiman Muri, however, praised the Jalingo Local Government Council Chairman, who doubles as the state ALGON chairman Hon. Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan, for his effort in uniting the people of the LGA and providing the dividend of democracy which he said is in line with the Governor Agbu Kefa’s Moving Forward Agenda.
Additionally, the District of Jalingo appreciated the ward heads and other traditional title holders under his domain for being good ambassadors and encouraged them to maintain the tempo.
Finally, Alhaji Abba Tukur urged all Tarabans to redouble their efforts in praying for the Muri Emirate, the governments at all levels, the Taraba state, and the nation as a whole.
