Group Protest Against Lois Emmanuel as PDP Woman Leader, Demand Governor's Intervention

 

In an unprecedented determination, hundreds of women who described themselves as from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) gathered at Jolly Nyame's Stadium in Jalingo, Taraba State, on September 5th, 2024, to express their deep-seated dissatisfaction with the newly elected woman leader, Mrs. Louis Emmanuel. The protest, which was peaceful and well-organized, marked a significant moment in the state's political landscape, as women from far and near came together to demand change and seek redress.

The grievances of the women protesters centered around Mrs. Emmanuel's alleged lack of support for women, orphans, widows, and the elderly in the state.
