The recent unfortunate fire incident at Government Science Secondary School in Jalingo will not deter governor Kefas led government from striving to create more conducive learning environment for students.
Dr. Augustina, Commissioner of Education in Taraba State, made the statement after inspecting the school along with her team to assess the level of damage caused by the fire.
Upon arrival, the school's principal Mr. Joseph Kola Gana, briefed Dr. Augustina and guided her team through the burnt building to inspect the extent of the devastation.
Dr. Augustina expressed her dismay at this act of sabotage, emphasizing that it hinders the progress of the state's educational agenda led by His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas and had immediately constituted a committee to investigate the cause of the incident.
She urged the citizens of Taraba to take pride in safeguarding government facilities within their communities and to actively support Dr. Agbu Kefas’s vision for transforming the state.
Accompanying Dr. Augustina were key officials including the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Idris A. Goje, the ministry's Secretary, the Executive Secretary of Taraba State Post Primary Schools Management Board, Mr. Navoki, and various Directors.
