The governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas has received an award of excellence, as the digital governor of the year by the Northern Youth Conference which held in Maiduguri Borno state.
According to the organisers, the award is in recognition of his unequivocal commitment towards the digital transformation of Taraba State.
His Excellency The Executive Governor Of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas Receive the Award As The Digital Governor of The Year 2023 and was Represented by the Hon.Gideon Nonso Mbaso The Commissioner of Digital Economy & Innovation Together With Hon. Muslim Aruwa Commissioner Of Science and Technology.
This is the 1st time Northern Youth Conference on Artificial Intelligence will be holding at Maiduguri Borno State Nigeria
Some of the achievement of the Governor that earn him the recognition include the empowering Taraba Youths with digital skills and for convening the maiden edition TARABA HACKATHON 2023, a widely accepted and publicized digitect programme that attracted international recognition.
The programme was facilitated under the new Ministry he created under the leadership of Hon Gideon Nonso as Commissioner.
The Governor was represented by at the occasion by The Commissioner of Digital Economy and Innovaton Hon. Nonso and commissioners Science and Technology Hon. Muslim Aruwa
Other recipient of the award include the governor of Borno state His Excellency Prof. BabaganaUmara Zulum and that of Yobe state His Excellency Mai Mala Buni for their contributions within the ecosystem.
