The Governor of Taraba State Gov. Agbu Kefas has fulfilled some of his campaign promises as he ordered the payment of Local Government Staff and Teachers in the State with the New Minimum Wage.
Taraba News gathered on Tuesday 7th November, 2023 that some Local Government staff have already started receiving alerts, a top officer at the Local Government administration of the state told Taraba News that all payment schedules have been submitted for payment. Also one of the Directors of one of the Local Government confirmed the development.
Reacting to the situation, the Commissioner for Local Government and re-orientation Barr. Zainab Usman Jalingo said "We are delighted to announce that this administration has fulfilled its promise of implementing the minimum wage of 30,000 Naira, as pledged by the Governor two months ago", adding that, the development has brought about immense joy and celebration across all 16 Local Government Areas of the State even as teachers and Staff have started receiving their well-deserved new minimum wage.
She pointed that "This administration is committed to improving the lives of Tarabans, and this milestone testifies to our unweaving dedication to bringing smiles to the faces of our citizens. We remain resolute in our mission to create a better and more prosperous future for all Tarabans".
