Tragic Loss: Taraba State University Student Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver

A 400-level Mass Communication student at Taraba State University, Joseph Afara, popularly known as "Paperboi" or "KingPaper," met a grim end when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Joseph Afara was said to have left his apartment at ATC to come and withdraw some money which was sent to him at Zenith Bank Road Block branch when the fatal incident occurred.

Witnesses reported that the driver, attempting to access the Jalingo Motor Park, made a reckless maneuver into the wrong lane, resulting in the collision. The driver promptly fled, leaving Joseph severely injured. However, it was gathered that the Nigerian police later managed to apprehend the driver responsible.

Upon reaching FMC Jalingo, it was distressingly observed that Joseph did not receive the timely medical attention he required. Eyewitnesses voiced their concern over the urgency of the situation and how patients die when taken to FMC in times of emergency. 

Untill his untimely demise, Joseph Afara was a lover of all and loved by all. 

He is said to be the most jovial person in the department. May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace🕊
