The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation, Hon. Gideon Samuel Nonso has unveiled a transformative initiative aimed at equipping the youth of Taraba State with essential digital skills and business opportunities.
The program tagged "Transforming Taraba Youths into Digital Literate," was launched at the GYM Hall, Jolly Nyame Stadium, in Jalingo.
With a target of benefiting over 60,000 youths and women across the State, this program has the potential to significantly impact positively to make life worths living for the youth in the state.
The Honorable Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Williams said
The initiative seeks to provide participants with a range of digital skills, including digital marketing, ICT literacy, web design, graphics, cybersecurity, virtual reality, digital catering, and agriculture.
According to the Commissioner, the program will last for a Month and it will be in batches starting from Monday 18th of September, 2023.
The program also places a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, addressing the growing concerns surrounding online threats.
Participants will be educated on best practices for safeguarding digital assets and ethical considerations, contributing to a safer digital environment all for free, said Nonso
