Taraba State Mobile Court on Environmental Protection and Public Safety convicts three (3) persons for illegal mining and Environmental degrading.

Three (3) persons were today convicted for violating the Executive Order of the State Governor aimed at protecting the Environment.  The convicts shall be sentenced to jail on Monday being the 14th day of August, 2023.

The Prosecuting Team on behalf of Taraba State Government was led by Barrister Nierus Johnson and Barr. C.R Shaki all from the Attorney General's Chambers. The Prosecutors prayed the Court to sentence the convicts to prison to serve as a deterrent to others.

Some items suspected to precious stones known as conzile were recovered and seized from the suspects..The illegal mining site in Gidan Argulu in Bali LGA causing Environmental degradation was also SEALED by Order of Court.
