Gov Agbu Kefas To Revive World Tourism Day in Taraba - Nagombe


 



The Taraba State Commissioner fot Heritage and Eco- Tourism, Hon. Titus Nagombe, has assured the people of the State that plans are in the pipeline by the Administration of Governor Agbu Kefas to revive the commemoration of World Tourism Day.

The Commissioner made this remark when the author of one of the World Best Selling Book on Tourism, "Taraba An Emerging Global Tourist Destination: A guide for investors" visited him in his office.

"World Tourism Day 2023 is now underway; it is in the pipeline by the State government," Nagombe says. 

World Tourism Day is commemorated on 27 September each year since 1980."

Nagombe further described the book as a master piece, revealing that he has read it from the time it was published. Hence, some of the recommendations in the book will be used as the ministry has plans in the pipeline to celebrate World Tourism Day.

"World Tourism Day is coming up and believe me, we will be using some of the recommendations in the book for the event."

Also speaking during the visit, Hon. Philip A. Munlip, said he was gladden in his heart when the ministry was re-crafted as ministry of Heritage and Eco-tourism and they were there to assure the commissioner that he will succeed. 

"I was so gladden in my heart when I learned the ministry was re-crafted as Ministry of Heritage and Eco-tourism. We've not come to acclimatize with you but to give you the assurance that you can and will succeed."
