Dr. Baby, Taraba Business School Partner On Empowerment Programme

In a bid to foster skill acquisition and empowerment opportunities, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dr. Baby, Mrs. Kawa Henry Marvin, and the organization's Brand Manager, Mr. Godswill Vakkai, on 2 August visited  Taraba News to discuss a potential collaboration and partnership.

During the meeting with Taraba News Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Gabriel Olayinka, both officials of Dr. Baby expressed their sympathy for Mr. Olayinka Gabriel's recent misfortune, where his shops, worth millions of naira with valuable assets, were razed by inferno at the ATC axis in Jalingo. They also discussed the possibility of launching a skill acquisition programme for students in partnership with Taraba Business School.

It could be noted that the Dr. Baby CEO and Manager  introduced the idea of hosting a Business Summit and Cocktail for their vendors. During the visit, they emphasized that the summit marked the beginning of a series of such initiatives organized by their organization.

They, therefore, expressed their interest in enlisting the expertise of Mr. Olayinka Gabriel to publicize the summit on various platforms across the state, while leveraging his knowledge of the business field.

Both officials acknowledged the significance of involving Taraba First Lady, Her Excellency, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas, in enhancing the efficiency of their project.

For his part, Mr. Olayinka Gabriel stressed the importance of seizing this opportunity to include the Governor's wife in the programme, as such opportunities were rare to present themselves. He also highlighted that entrepreneurship programmes and skills acquisition are crucial for empowering youths. He cited Taraba Business School's array of programmes, including computer training, business training, and mentorship.

The Taraba Business School CEO also stated that enrolling the youths in entrepreneurship programmes would prepare them for a better future, while empowering them to establish their own computer businesses.

When asked about his organization capacity, Mr. Olayinka disclosed that  currently, Taraba Business School could  accommodate up to 100 students at a time, adding that the curriculum would not only encompass computer training but also provide practical insights into the business aspects of the programmes.

After the training, students would gain valuable knowledge on various online opportunities and how to capitalize on them. Olayinka Gabriel expressed deep gratitude for the support shown by Dr. Baby organization and the collaborative effort towards fostering empowerment opportunities.
