Bishop Johnwesley Yohanna of Nigeria Episcopal Area of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria has asked inmates in the Jalingo correctional center to repent and make the words of God a standard for their lives while serving jail terms or awaiting trial.
The Bishop stated this while delivering easter message to the inmates on the importance and significance of easter to the children of God.
Bishop Yohanna who read from the Bible in the book of Luke 23:39-43 to butress message saying that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead for us to be saved.
He added that already as a believer, Jesus Christ has paid the price for us redeeming our sins hence our existence advising the inmates to have fate in God for their cases.
" I came to celebrate Easter with the inmates and offer them the words of God which is supreme to all situations"
" This is Easter period, we're reflecting on the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and the season is worth celebrating because Jesus Christ has conquered death"
Bishop Johnwesley Yohanna uses the visit to donate gifts items and cash to ameliorate the sufferings of the inmates in their areas of needs and prayed God to bless the management staff of the Jalingo medium security correctional center.
