If Voted, I'll Make The Lives Of My People Better - Hon. Jella
Hon. Julius James Jella (DOE), who has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the Jalingo, Yorro, Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State, says he will work to make the lives of his constituents better if elected.
In an exclusive interview with Taraba News at the weekend, Hon. Julius James Jella said he decided to join the race to give hope to his people.
"Jalingo, Yorro, and Zing constitute one of the very backward constituencies in Taraba State in terms of education, infrastructure, and social well-being," he stated, while promising to turn the story around if given the opportunity.
"My good friend and brother Maihanchi (may his soul rest in peace) and I had a wonderful plan for our people before the cold hands of death snatched him. We had already met somebody that would carry on this plan. Now, I am more than prepared to ensure that our people have a better representation," he said.
Hon Jella disclosed that one of his visions was to create employment opportunities in the Taraba State and at the Federal level to ensure that his people are gainfully employed.
"I have a unique scholarship scheme in my manifesto that will give scholarship to about 6,000 young people annually. We will make sure that those who could not afford a university education get this scholarship. We will also do our best to reduce illiteracy level by giving opportunity for people to acquire education at all levels."
The House of Reps aspirant promised to create opportunity for people who would want to acquire one skill or the other. "We will give priority to entrepreneurship, while empowering people to learn one skill or the other, particularly for the betterment of youth and women."
